Louisiana Earth Day, Inc. began in 1990 as a way for the local community to celebrate the Earth Day.
Earth Day was first recognized on April 22, 1970 - the birth of the modern environmental movement.

Our Goals
The main goals for Louisiana Earth Day are to provide the community with an annual Earth Day festival, encourage responsible environmental stewardship, and to support and encourage environmental education to the entire community.
